740 on bio E.
And I took AP bio this past year.
Should I retake if I’m not planning on majoring in anything closely related to biology?

i was somewhat dissapointed with my 760 on bio M
i mean i was really hoping for an 800 and im only a freshman in honors biology
and what percentile do you think a 760 would get me

It’s probably 95% Really I wouldn’t worry about. The curve is harsh. Although, maybe I’m contradicting myself b/c I’m upset at my 770

Hey I was completely satisfied with my 770 on Bio E…

is that in the “ivy” range? I am only a freshman…

hey, people. 1st time I took Bio E (770), and in June I retook it (mostly b/c I was unprepared for one of the exams I signed up for and decided not to waste the testing opportunity). Anyway, now I have Bio M 770, and I am in this awkward situation when I do not know which of the two is better to send?

Darn it, I’m seriously undecided about whether or not I want to retake my 740 on Bio M. If I already have two 800s, should I just say screw Bio, or is it worth studying over the summer and retaking October/November of senior year?

@Cyan, send Bio E, your 770 is in the 97th percentile while a 770 in M is only in the 93rd percentile. This shows that your E score was roughly more difficult to earn than the equivalent M score. Again, I’d send both if possible but if given a restriction, I’d send the one in the higher percentile.

@ThePerson1, try studying for Bio E and see if you do better on a retake. Some people are naturually better at ecology than molecular. This shows because I got 790 in E but 700 on M.

hope this helps

tpingt, do you think a 770 on Bio E is in the “ivy” range, or should I retake?

@scigirl14, yes 770 should be fine for ivies.

A high E score is obtained by less people each year than the equivalent high M scores as shown by the percentile rankings. A 770 on E is quite impressive by these standards, especially as a freshman. Great work!

which has a nicer curve? E or M

@jakeiscool, curves vary from test-to-test. However statistically, M has had the easier curve in recent years.

^^ thanks for the info.
typically, how many wrong is an 800 and a 750

can anyone explain how this rescoreing thing works

I got 750 and I was really unhappy because I took two bio courses this year and wrote the AP exam.

you wrote the ap exam?

Lol, I doubt he wrote the AP exam.

hey guys…i’m gonna take the Bio sat II in october so can anybody recommend books for me to study from? i heard that the cliffnotes ap bio book is pretty good but is that true?

What? Why would you doubt that I wrote the Ap exam?

umm how old are you and doesnt collegeboard make the exam

^ In some countries, to say you “wrote” the AP exam is to say that you took the exam, not that you came up with all of the questions…
