thanks soad

to gardenstate 7 wrong and 3 ommit will PROBABLY be 770-780. thats a raw score of

there was a really easy balancing problem
where you had to find the coiffecent of O2 was it 8 moles? not the H20 question where it was 1

also just to confirm this answer al203 was .250

I think I got at 720. Should I cancel?

What was the Al2O3 problem? I remember the .25 from some question, can you give me the main idea of what the question was, shaheirrudin?

720 is a good score. Don’t cancel unless you’re 100% positive that you were not pleased with your scores, like if you were sick on the test day or have seen that you got at least 18 wrong from this website or internet searches.

0.5 mole of 4 mole Al produces what of Al203 its 0.25
cus 4/.5 equal 8 and 2/8 equal 1/4 which is .25 or .250

do you remember getting 8 moles for a balancing question it was a really easy one I just want to make sure

it was not the ionic one or the H2s one it was

one with 02 and Cp4 or something

what would a raw score of 74 be???

760, i guess

The answer is HCl, because it is pretty soluble in water - it is a strong acid. H2 and O2 are not soluble in water.

Do you have to ace the exam in order to get an 800?

^no…

a raw score of between 78 and 82 out of 85 will get you an 800, depending on how hard the test is…

raw score = (number right) - (0.25*number wrong) ; rounded to the nearest number

luvbio: I thought the question asked for what COULD be collected over water (H2 and O2)?
Or have I misread just about every question?

I’m pretty sure it was what COULD be collected.

It was definitely what COULD be collected because i read that question a million times haha

It was what COULD be.

it was what COULD NOT be collected over water.

no, i think it was what actually coulddddddddddddd be collected over water. i remember putting something like I and II only.

^me too. I wasn’t too sure about the HCl but I remember finanlly just putting H2 and O2.

I’m almost positive it was what COULD be collected.
i’ve gotten into the habit of circling key words like EXCEPT and NOT and stuff and i know i didn’t circle anything for that question…

Okay, so it was definitely H2 and O2. Six versus two - thanks for clearing that up, guys. :)

I left 1 blank (ran out of time)
I got 3 wrong (the unpaired electron one(read that one too fast; i thought it said paired electrons). And the ideal gas deviation one(not sure what i put down as the answer. so im assuming it was wrong… just a random guess) and the freezing of the nacl in water(i wrote CE along with T/T)…

thankfully those were the only questions that i knew i didn’t know right after i took the test.
everything else on the test was extremely easy.
i definitely got the rest all right… i’ll probably get 80.25. i was aiming for 83/85.
anyone got an idea what the curve might be like?? (what would be the most that one can get wrong for an 800)
– im guessing 79
