I don’t remember a y-intercept problem, what else was in the question?

I’m not sure about the x, expect there was a 5 in the answer somewhere :D

Which of these choices are correct, I. Find x-intercepts of each function. II. Find y intercepts of each function. III. Find the zeroes of f(x)-g(x)=0. i put C. III only

lol. i left 8 blank and probably got a few wrong on the may 2009 test and pulled through with a 770. hoping the curve is easier this time around. I left 7 blank with 1 confirmed wrong. hoping for at least a 790.

the answer had a slope of 1 so it was x+some number

coolguy: do u remeber which points it contained

the question was what was the equation of the line that passed through (2,-3) and has an x intercept of 5

and PrinceAi the answer was I and III

y=x+5 10 char

I think it was (2,3) - ^ I think that was E, both I & III.

^ gulp, 3 wrong so far

“y=x+5 10 char”
that doesnt have an x intercept of 5 tho :/

E is usually I, II, & III

What was the answer to the graph question where there were two graphs, and it says that f(x) (represented by the left graph) is equal to g(x) (represented by the right graph) when its -2 < x < 2.

and it asks for, “what may be the equation of g(x)?” (the right graph)

some of the options were like…

g (x) = - |x| or something… and g (x) = 2 (f(x) - something)…

who knows what I’m talking about/remembered what they put??

oops i meant y=x-5

hey ricky i think it was y=x-5

i vaguely rememebr this q
im leaning 70/30 that i got y=x-5
do you guys remember th eother choices?

no - but they all had slopes different than one if that helps

can someone explain the boxplot one

Yeah, I thought it was 5x something… I know it was choice B.

It can’t be y=x-5 because that would give negative values.

i now i got 5 as my "b"value (mx+b) but forgot if it was +5 or -5

(2,-3) x-intercept: 5
(5,0)
slope=m=(-3-0)/(2-5)= -3/-3 = 1
y-y=m(x-x)
y–3=1(x-2)
y+3=x-2
y=x-5
