June 2009 SAT Critical Reading

i love in the reading passage how the dude was cocky lol. he was like “i single handedly desegregated the library” i loled

was the 23 question passage the experimental one?
The first small passages were about eco tourism…

i had a passage about a dude who was writing his autobiography and he basically talked about how he wasn’t doing it for show during the whole passage. it had a horace quote. was that one an experimental?

^I think it was, however i think i read something about horace on my test

was on of the answers pharmaceutical research or something???

was something with condemn and answer to the university question

i’ll be happy because that passage was actually kind of difficult for me to comprehend. like maybe ap english level.

Just read through this whole thread… :-D!!! Taking the SATs after AP Lang was an excellent idea

was the 23 question crit section the experimental one?

lol i took ap lang too and it didnt help me at all. it seemed like 2 completely different tests.

for the Spanglish passage
the first question, i put unfortunate, which is obviously wrong…
my reasoning was that author thinks it’s unfortunate how Spanglish is not approved by critics for mere reason that the language is usually stagnant.

was the 23 question crit section the experimental one???

I was a terrible mess in CR section!

Wait, wasn’t the pearls like representing universal communication or w/e? Something happy and cheesy like that?

he was scientifically inclined because he believed in fate, only he called it genetic predisposition. plus he had a gene map.

Sorry if someone posted an answer on this one but:

For the capitalization about how the trailer was supposed to go everywhere or whatever. The capitilization one…

I swear it was being sarcastic because it said how it was supposed to go “Anywhere” but they said that the mom only led them to Norfolk…seems pretty sarcastic to me.

EDIT: Seems pretty humorous to me…wow. I think I put the sarcastic but now I’m thinking I put humorous. Cant remember…grrrrrr

universal communication choice you’re talking about was same as the imagination one, right?

that one was “biased”
