i’m sure i’m missing some in my list though…

Wait – can someone explain why it’s ingenious on the spanglish one…? Everyone’s saying ingenious, but I said inexplicable. I mean, mixed languages just kind of develop naturally, not out of cleverness.

oh, and I meant the first one, I put unchangeable on the second one as well, cause languages are always changing.

I put unchangeable on the spanglish one…

for the water one i put boulder because it talked about rock. boulder=rock.

@jawsh
that’s what i put also.
but it’s wrong…

i dont see how its wrong though. the SAT CR answers always comes directly from the passage, and thats what it was. it talked about rocks, which are like boulders.

but it said boulders on top of glaciers…
glaciers are freezing and the passage talked about heat.
So im guessing this is one of those half correct answers.

It talked about heat?

I remember it talked about the water inside the rocks freezing into crystals.

I put the cliff by the ocean because it talked about water (ocean) and rocks (cliff).

Yeah but the boulder was next to a tropical ocean…

btw, what did u guys get for the one about how the books the guys liked weren’t of high literary “status”?

this question has been discussed in like almost every page of this thread.
im not sure if it discussed heat actually… but i know that it’s either volcano or tropical ocean according to all these CC geniuses…

It CANNOT be volcano; tropical is actually supported.

So is there a consensus on the boulder question?

And I think that the Alistair one was “scientifically inclined” because the passage described the gene map as looking like a complicated rain chart and something else that had to do with science.

I assumed the author was describing it as scientific.

for the high literary status I remember putting something along the lines that it must account for every piece of literature or something

eg-
wasn’t that answer like the high critics didnt tolerate reading books that were not deemed worthy or classic or something

no i definitely didn’t put that choice, but I remember it being there. I dunno, i found that question pretty tricky. All I remember was that the narrator didn’t care what sort of book he read, whether it be a classic or something that wasn’t considered great.

i put that
blah left no room for reading books deemed by critics to be not worthy
something of that sort
i mean they talked about trash books and stuff

Wat was the answer to the question for the university commercialization: Wat was the tone of the author at the beginning of this passgage… " …under way… "

choices were : Urgent, jocular…etc

hmm what did other ppl say on this one?

I put urgent ^^

I said urgent.
