June 2010: Math II

mullin: it was only a in the absolute value bracket in the bottom

wait, if you get a 44 as your total like… answer, that’s an 800 right?
because that’s what it said in Barrons.

^ Depends on the curve. This one was pretty easy though, so we’ll see…

I don’t remember the absolute value one exactly, but I know my answer was b. I’m pretty certain that’s correct.

Yes, but it doesn’t matter for his calcalutions because a is positive

For the absolute value one, I put E, the biggest answer…

What’s the consensus on this one?

And what was #49? I remember skipping it but i can’t remember what it was. and which question was the one with contrapositive?

Forgive me for continuing the argument but what’s the point of an achievement test for mathematics if it doesn’t measure your mathematical reasoning and ability? The whole idea of this appears bogus to me, but maybe that’s because I was raised wrong. In my opinion, everyone should stop fretting about these SAT tests. If you truly enjoy mathematics, take part in a math competition - it will be so much better for you :)

What is the worst possible curve for this test?

Oh sententia, funny I took math II as well. How did you do on bio?

(|b|-|ab|)/|a-1|

A is positive.so |a|=a,
|b|(1-a)/(a-1)
-|b|=b,because the absolute value makes it positive, but the negative sign returns it to normal.

760

This time I did math 2 and chem… I omitted too many on chem though and I might end up taking all three tests again next october. x.x

Ok so who’s going to start a consolidated list.

so far this is what we got:

parametric one- 1/3

absolute value- b

find AB, 2 theta-2sin theta

angle with 2/5 and 3/5-9

cone was 18.88

there was question that did not work with any of the answers.

t>=3 ot

range cannot be (1,2,3)
f(x) undefined when x=3

wut question was that?

for the cone do u mean 18.88?
cuz it was 6 pi

yeah, isn’t it 18.8?

period was sin 2pi

g(x)- 3

sqrt of( 2+sqrt 2)-2

miles-less than 50 miles

range-(1,2,3)

f(3) - f(1)-6

what was the angle that those two lines made?

was the 2theta-2sintheta the last answer? and the most complex one?

@ sarahrehteah I think it was 9. something
