June 2012 SAT II Biology

^ Yes. 750+ is usually good enough for top schools (with Math II being one exception).

yeah the curve on bio m had to be enough for 4 wrong is an 800 because that is what i got and im almost positive i got 4 wrong

740… was hoping for a 750, but oh well I guess.

Whaa so many 800’s
Makes me feel like my 770 is ugly. HAHAHA

FINALLY…god i’ve been waiting all day i got a 790 :D

I’m surprised. I got an 800 on bio E LOL.

I know that I omitted one and got at /least/ three wrong, so there must have been a really generous round. o___o

Meh, not complaining. 800 WOOHOO. Thank goodness for score choice, so I can hide the 690 I got the first time I attempted the test without studying. XD

760 on bio e  not sure if I should retake it after doing ap bio next year

Got a 770 on the Bio M test… shooting for Ivy League schools so is that good enough or should I retake it for the 800?

^ That is good enough. You would be wasting your time to retake.

Got a 770 on the Bio M test… shooting for Ivy League schools so is that good enough or should I retake it for the 800?
^ No a 770 is fine. I think that anything 750+ is enough for the ivies. SAT II subject tests don’t make or break you, and a 770 is a great score.

Received the Barron’s Biology E/M I ordered in the mail today. I think I will take it with me on vacation and look through it during my down time. You can never begin too early!

Hi StudiousMaximus what about if it was a 760 for Bio-E should I consider retaking? for possibly a science major?

^ I don’t think a 760 will hurt you at all. It’s a great score, and it is in-range for top schools. I think you should spend your time elsewhere, taking other Subject Tests or something else. If you have a lot of free time, though, you could retake, but I don’t think it’s necessary.

750 on biology m derp
When you say 750+ does that include 750 lol
Should I retake or just leave it ?
it seems like a decent score so… :D

800 BIO M BABY W00000000000000t
the day before the test I had a MAJOR HEADACHE but i took advil and studied
750+ bio flashcards at 1am YEAH BABY

I got an 800 on the Bio (M) test :)

I omitted 2. Extremely excited, as I managed to get 800s on all three tests I took on June 2!

780 on Bio M.
Retake? Or should I be fine? Since I want to get into Ivy League schools.

780 for top schools is fine, concentrate on other parts of your app.

What things should I focus on in my study of SAT II Bio? Any specific tips? Any commonly tested topics?

I feel that there’s no one area of bio that’s totally focused on. You should instead improve your weak points as much as possible. Taking AP bio usually increases your chances of a much higher score by a lot. Be committed, and look at prior practice tests. The tutor place I went to made a new test similar to the ones in Barron’s for us every week, so we took new practice tests every week. It was super helpful. Try to get a private tutor if you feel you’re lacking in any areas. Other than that, I hope you have a good memory because bio requires lots of memorization ^^ good luck~
