@auditi5 you went from a 700 math in january to a perfect this time? Congrats

Also for future generations:

“Architect and designer William Morris, whose ideas fueled the arts & crafts movement of the 19th century, believed that a society unable to produce something LACKED a sound system.”

Lacked is the correct answer, it’s not “lacks,” despite the present tense “produce” verb. The only one i missed was a passage question which is how i know this. But the way some of you were debating the other answer, you would’ve convinced me to put “lacks” :p

@humbugs thanks! My mom was like “be realistic and only expect a little above 2250” but lololol I proved her doubt wrong

And yeah, I missed one in identifying sentence errors and that was it.

Can you guys please comment on my thread I have been reading this thread from the start and that’s why I think I want your opinion on my chances

@Vicvonda just being the child of a Ghanaian senator is a major hook for colleges. You seem like a great student. Although I’ll leave the true chancing to the parent members of this forum. They know more than we know.

Really, College Board? One question wrong on the math section, and it is 770??? Harsh doesn’t begin to describe it

@Fleur007 same for me. I was sort of expecting a 790 for -1 math

I thought 3 wrong would at least be a 720 or 710. The curve usually goes
0-800
-1-790
-2-760
-3-740
-4-720
-5-700

I know which ones I got wrong too and I shouldn’t have gotten 2 of them wrong cries

Thanks @humbugs I literally love u all on here I’ve been telling all my sisters about all u guys and how determined u guys r but I never had a page until today. I am a part of the #octobersquad as I will be taking over again. Love u guys and good luck everyone

For math I also believe the curve was harsh. I got 1 wrong and omitted 3 and got a 700.
For writing I was on point with my prediction 2 wrong 3 omitted and 9 essay and I got a 700 in that also.
For critical reading I was most disappointed because English is my best subject and I expected my 630 cr to be switched with my 700 math because I have never even scored that high on a practice test.

Yes math was harsh 1 wrong 2 omitted got 720
Reading was average missed 6 got 720
Writing was harsh missed 5 got 8 essay got 660

I felt that reading was actually pretty lenient. I did feel like this reading section was harder in terms of answers, so the curve leveled it out.

Guys its easy to score a 12 on the essay than you think. I had 8 on the essay though parts of my essay could not be seen. I was so much in a hurry that my handwriting messed up. I didn’t rub my mistakes properly with my eraser and this stained certain portions of my work on the electronic copy. Its amazing how I scored an 8 with a messed up work.Had my work been clearer, I believe I could have scored at least 11 or 12… …
Even if you don’t know what essay topic you’ll meet on the SAT, you can try working out great introduction and conclusion formats that are flexible and can manipulated in different contexts(First impressions are crucial and last words do last)…Also, It’s not all about using big words and excessive examples; its about using apt vocabulary,
varying sentence structure when conveying ideas(this gives your essay style and flavor and makes it unique) and using appropriate examples that really reflect the essay topic. It’s far better to use 2 relevant examples than 4 vague examples…
I’m not a SAT guru.I’m naturally good at essays. I kinda suck on SAT. I scored 40 out of 49 on the writing multiple choice section. So I’m subject to any advice too. I just think those who score high on the writing multiple section with an average essay score limit the potential of their writing score…
For those guys who score 700+ on reading section, can you please share any of your strategies. I’m aiming for a 2300+ or 2400. I need all the advice I can get. Any advice from anyone too will do…

Wow, I missed three critical reading and still got a 780! Wow, the curve was super lenient! Did anyone get a 9 on the essay but 80mc and still get 800?

When can we actually view the questions? Like what we got wrong?

And the essay??

@Marissa I believe for the June test no one will be able to see exact questions that they got wrong. Essay is under the “writing” tab.

I got a 10 on the essay, 5 wrong, and still ended with a 710, so the writing curve was pretty lenient

Under a normal curve, it would’ve been a 700 or even a 690.
