***June 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

@christen876 don’t hold yourself to the standard of what a lot of people think is good because the the average person doesn’t understand smart but not smart enough

however your scores are good and the biggest reason I see to push up your score is top scholarships and/or going to your best state school

Boy do I feel stupid for saying I think I got a high 2100 to a 2200 on here last night, just proves how much of an idiot I am.

With this on my SAT record, are my chances at ivy crushed?

Don’t beat yourself up @scarlettlovesivy‌ Have you tried the ACT? You have a whole summer to prepare. You’ve got this don’t worry

@jellybae I didn’t try that actually. I might give it a shot, but I prepared so much for the SAT t feels weird to make the switch. I do have the whole summer to prepare but this score is haunting me. I really can’t seem to shake it. :((

2150 sat yessss,

My goals for the October exam. 1. Score in the low 600’s in CR(460-570-460 that has to change) 2. score in the mid 600’s for math(580-520-550 too low) and 3. score high 600’s low 700’s in writing and get essay to 10 or higher(530-8 540-9 610-8) My hopes may have been damaged but they are not crushed. 1 more chance. got to make it count. If anybody is taking the October SAT, I’ll see you on that thread. Take Care

Btw, I was projecting a 720 math score and ended up with a 690 HOW?!?!?

if you’re gonna do the ACT make sure you time yourself, many people used to the SAT run out of time on the ACT sections

@tingjonki Thank you. I haven’t done any hardcore studying, and I think I did good on math and writing! I just need to bump my CR up. Do you have any tips? Thank you!

@scarlettlovesivy‌ I think we put way too much pressure on ourselves with these scores. Tests aren’t the end-all be-all and Ivy schools are available for grad school too (hardly anybody asks where you went for undergrad if you went to grad school)

my CR was only 690 I don’t think you want tips from me :P

@humbugs Right now, it feels like the end for me. I know Ivy is there for grad school, but even then, I was really banking on a good score. To have it go down, I can’t even say I’m in the 2k league now…Ii also feel terrible compared to everyone on here and some of my friends. One of my friends even said this was such an easy SAT that if you didn’t get the score you wanted, your life prob sucks.

@tingjonki Let’s just say a 690 CR score would put me above 2000, which would be a great score for a state school (assuming math and writing each increase by 10 points!) I can use all the help I can get! :)

a 690 sounds heavenly right now…

@scarlettlovesivy‌ yeah, i’m sorry. I didn’t get the score I wanted either. CC people aren’t your normal distribution so it’s not conducive at all to compare scores on here. After the dust settles in a little bit I’m sure you’ll do great in whatever you want to do :D

My SAT scores still say they’re “not yet available” >_>

@humbugs Thank you  I know they’re incredibly smart and I now I don’t even consider myself worthy of talking to you guys. But thank you. I need time to digest this.

@humbugs btw, not to sound like a stalker, but I’ve been reading this thread for a long time, just never had an account and Iv’e always respected you for the type of input you had to offer.

My mom is making me retake a 2330/2370 superscored… If I had missed 2 less grammar questions…
