***June 2014 SAT (US ONLY)***

CC is such a funny place

@Jellybae haha i agree, two complete sides of the spectrum

got a 1730 -_-. kills self how do i jump 300 points now :(

@chowder97 what were you expecting?

never studied… but i guess studying would help me break 2000+… i just don’t know how to do this.

I don’t want to spend another $3000 on a prep course, Iv’e wasted enough of my parent’s money

I Was so scared for these results after my performance on the March SAT. (Got a 1790)
After studying hard core (literally almost every night I did a section) I got a…2020!!
CR 710
M 640
W 670 (With 10 on the essay)

I hope that these scores will be good enough for Rice. (My Dream school, I live in houston) what do you guys think?

PS Direct Hits really helped me raise my CR, I know I got 100% on SC.

Argh. I managed to squeeze five hours of sleep in, yay. Now I want caffeine and a better score.

can someone tell me chances of getting into Columbia university and upenn and boston college: sat 1: math-780, CR: 670 Writing : 710. Subject tests: math 2 -770 Bio- 670, gpa- 99.85(weighted)

@juju76567‌ i always feel like CC chances are useless because you’re asking a bunch of high schoolers about a process they don’t even know about

This was my first SAT. I was shooting for somewhere in the 18-1900 range (I was going off my PSAT, which I think was a 189). Somehow pulled a 2120. Woot!

CR - 800 (I feel so awesome at life :D)
M - 590 (I feel so awful at life D:)
W - 730 (10 on essay, which is hilarious to me because every single time I had to practice in English my teacher gave me an 8.)

Do you think I should test again in the fall to try for something better on math? It does look pretty ugly in comparison to the other two sections. :confused:

@TheZombieBear I would take it again and focus largely on the math section leading up to the next test. The majority of schools superscore the SAT so even if you did worse in reading and writing, but your math went up, then you could have a much higher superscore. Regardless, great job on your first SAT, that’s a really good score!

@BanginB Thanks for the advice and the compliment. I suppose I’ll start studying again in August or so for the October SAT. :)

I got a 2400!!! Woohoo!!!

@chowder97 i basically got the same score as you mate, 1740… Im thinking of prepping more and retaking it in october.

What hurts the most is the amount of time and effort I put in to have my already stupid score to go down to an abysmal one. Gonna retake in October for sure, and I better pull a good score. For those who are looking to retake in Oct, whats your new approach going to be? I’m guessing that for many of us incoming seniors, this is our last chance, I know it is especially for me because I still have to take two more subject tests in November.

On a side note, even though it’s not easy to say, CONGRATS to those who got 2300+, you are really living my dream right now. :slight_smile:

:((

@DaisyBlue Congratulations! That’s awesome! :)

.

Got tutoring for the next 2 months and have plenty of resources. no reason why I can’t get a 1900+. When you get a challenge, the best thing to do is to keep pushing and have a positive outlook rather than a negative one. That’s what I am going to do. Congrats on all these wonderful scores.
