***JUNE 2015 ACT DISCUSSION THREAD***

I usually struggle with science, but even I thought this science was fairly easy. Never read a single passage, even on the conflicting viewpoints I just went straight to the questions and then found the information that I needed in the passages after.

I don’t think the science is hard…just way too long for the time given. There should really be only 5 passages. A girl in my room told me after that she had to randomly bubble in the last ten questions or so.

@sarajessica You seem pretty confident about english. Do you remember if you got the same answer (like D or something) for the last 4 questions?

And do you remember if “anxiety,” or something was an answer choice for the reading question about how the parents felt about their professional lives?

Thanks

@waddups I was rushing for the last few questions but I did have 4 D’s towards the very end of the test. Sorry I’m not @sarajessica though!

For most ACTs, scores will be posted online 2 weeks later.

If I got -3 in math, will that most likely be a 34 or 35 considering the difficulty of this test

@waddups it was sadness

Gosh I feel pretty bad about that ACT. I mean I was taking timed practice tests and making 33’s, but the Science portion was just so awful. I had to guess on like 5 reading questions, which is pretty bad considering reading is usually the easiest for me. It was pretty easy, but I didn’t finish in time.

As for the math and english, I felt they were fairly easy. I know I missed a couple on math because I guessed on like 4, but I didn’t guess on English. As for the remnants question, there was only one answer that was grammatically correct, even though it did not make sense.

@i2400ezpz Yeah I know it was sadness but I forgot if I chose that. Do you remember if anxiety/anxious was an answer choice? If it was, then I think I chose that. And -3 in math is probably a 34, maybe 35 (im in that same boat I think I got -3). Expect a 34, and if you get a 35 it will feel even better. What do you think -3 in reading would be? 33? Maybe 34?

@Metaphorical Does that apply to every region in the U.S.? Because AP exam scores get released at different times by region…

And do you mean the actual multiple choice scores will be posted ~2 weeks from now??

@Yakisoba For ACT, scores are released nationwide… if I am correct. (At least that’s how it was for the last 2 tests I took). So like at midnight 2 weeks later, you should be able to see your score the same time anybody else in the nation. And yes, just the MC scores (not writing).

The only time ACT has ever been released by region was when it was tested in school nationally in March. Different states got scores at different times.

@kkrr0529 You’re not allowed to discuss test questions.

@kkrr0529 if you can tell me more about the question I can maybe tell you how I did it. I remember something like that and I remember getting the answer…

@Metaphorical thanks buddy

It’s 10 days, not two weeks. Says on their website.

Do we find out our multiple choice scores then later writing? Or do we have to wait for writing to be scored so that we can find out our multiple choice scores?

^yeah can anyone clarify that please

Most people will get their scores at 12 am central on June 23 (10 days). The writing scores will be added 2 weeks after this. Other people will get their scores later if they don’t get them on the 23rd.

@Perbler and @moonwalk83
Yeah so you get the multiple choice first, then you get writing later. You don’t need writing to see your multiple choice

@SSick456 @16jpatel thank you very much. :slight_smile:

I thought English was harder than usual. I thought there were 1-2 that did not make sense whatso ever. I’ve done over 20 practice tests and this English was on the harder side. Does anyone agree? And will the science curve be like the April one?
