Does anyone know if parents have to go to orientation in early June with us.

They don’t have to.

Do you not want your parents to come?

It would just be easier if they didn’t have to-one less plane ticket-I have family out there that would be able to take me.
I wasn’t sure if that was allowed though.

When is the June orientation?

My wife took our daughter two years ago and it was a real ‘bonding’ experience for them both but because we are within driving distance, we did not have to worry about the plane fare. You will be fine without a parent being there but remember in a big sense your parents are also going to college with you in the fall and will want to share as much of the experience with you as possible. Take a look at Southwest Airline fares. This far in advance they will probably have some very good rates. Good luck. You will love LMU!

There are multiple dates and orientation sessions.

There’s 8 in June every Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday, then one in August.

I seem to remember there are completely different activities set up for parents, some very informative, and the beginning of parents bonding to the school ($$$$$) as well as students. But there is a second orientation at the beginning of the school year too, and I could be confusing them.
