From what I read on their website, Juniata is a very interview heavy school, which is somewhat problematic for me, especially since they say they like to interview you before they review your application. If all goes according to plan, my app materials will likely be in by early-mid-January. (They review your app as soon as all the materials come in.) However, all interviews are done on campus, and I can’t be missing a ton of school. I could definitely go over spring break (in March), but that’s a bit late. Should I risk applying without an interview?

Thanks.

I know very little about the school, though my son considered it for a time (though he chose not to apply). Couldn’t you pose your question to an admissions counselor?

As a parent, I’ve always tried to look upon the admissions folks as advocates for my son; persons who could help my son through the process and find a way to help it work for him and his individual circumstances. If they come to know you and your good qualities and the reason that your interview can only occur later in the spring, I’m sure thay can accommodate that…or perhaps they can arrange for a preliminary phone interview. Truly, I feel, there’s always a way. The admissions people are really there to help you, if you’re honest with them. I’m sure they’ll understand your desire not to miss a great deal of class time; that really is to your credit. And, the phone contact might gain you some added recognition points.

Good luck.
