I have approx 15 years in the healthcare sector. I currently hold two AS degrees and I am completing my BS degree in a healthcare career (RT). I am not sure what the future will hold, and I may want to get out of healthcare at some point and start in grocery or retail. I am thinking of completing a certificate program in leadership/management. I am deciding which route would be better a JC or University. Both options are affordable to me so cost isint much of an issue. Also, does this certificate provide much benefit? I would like to hear from people who are in the same boat.
If you are looking to get in a management program, etc. then you’d likely be better as a four year - unless you start at the bottom and work your way up.
Many management trainee type jobs will require a four year degree so if you can do it, that’d be a better option (and to help you pivot).
While you are talking a certificate to supplement your bachelor, it’s just more impressive with a 4 year school name on it (in my opionion).
Good luck.
