Junior - Looking to transfer for Spring 2016, Need Help!!

I’m a junior currently, at Harcum College in Bryn mawr, looking to transfer to a university in the spring, however i have had a major problem these past few days.

My current major at Harcum is Sports Management, Which is still business oriented, how ever the business courses based on the feedback from my transfer counselor would most likely cope with the university that i choose, although i know some of them MAY not transfer.

I have been doing an INSANE amount of research looking to college because i am desperate to stop being a commuting student, it has been really tiring. if i didn’t transfer (which i really don’t want to do) i would stay at Harcum and transfer next fall. I am looking to go into Greek Life, going into a university i’m strongly worried that i will not make many friends unless i go to a college while having friends when i get there rather than waiting a semester until fall and transferring then.

i have been calling numerous universities asking if their Business schools accept transfer students in the Spring, and the 3 universities i have called have all said they don’t accept transfers to the Business School. my original decision was to major in Marketing and receive a bachelors in that. although the problem will be is that i may have to spend two years at another college which would really disappoint me because i was hoping to graduate on time with everybody else from High school. My freshman year i went to a college in West Virginia which was a complete mistake and basically got an F in all of my classes which is why i decided to come back to a college close to home. Now that i am almost finished here i believe it is the proper tim to search for the next place to go. Majoring in Marketing was my main decision, however Economics is something i’m starting to consider. Math was never my strong suit and it was hard for me to understand, but if you want to go into Business - i know there will always be Math. i’m looking to go into real estate after i completely finish college so i suppose economics may be a good fit as well.

i am Honestly desperate to get out in the spring because of the serious problems and issues i am having at home with my family, complete frustration. i would like some feedback on what other people think i should do, i would strongly strongly strongly prefer not to stay here in the spring and transfer out in December but its getting harder and harder to think about seeing as colleges that i’m interested in are not accepting transfer applicants.

My current choices are:

West Chester U of Pennsylvania
Villanova (1st Choice)
Syracuse (2nd Choice)
Wake Forest
Temple
UMaryland (maybe)
UDelaware

But if i had to wait until the fall, then my college list would definitely change and it would make me a lot more upset to stay there another 2 years when everybody else that i grew up with is a year above me. Please give me help guys it would really help me in this situation, a lot of those colleges i listed are deadlined by November 1st, some are Nov 15. it would strongly help and i cannot stress that enough!!

How many credits do you have? Some schools will cap the number of credits they will take anyway.

60 credits

Try to get over this. Chances are that you have plenty of friends who will not end up graduating “on time”, and even if you are the only one who takes an extra year or two to finish up, when you have all been working for a while what you have done in your job will be much more important than the year you graduated from college.
