Hello i am a junior in high school. I recently just moved from Long Beach, California to Tucson, Arizona. I’ve always thought that I would get into one of the CSU’s without question because I was a resident. But now everything is messed up. I don’t know if a CSU will even consider me. I did kinda bad in 9th, but took summer classes to makeup two of the bad grades I got. I did way better in 10th grade with 3.5 GPA both semesters, but once I moved to Arizona during my junior year… everything went down hill… 1st semester I had 4 C’s 1 D and only 1 A. I’m going to go to summer school to makeup the D and I’m almost done with second semester and I’ll hopefully have a 3.0 GPA by the end of second semester. Will I ever be able to get to a CSU? Will I even get into Univ of Arizona? I’m so disappointed in myself. I did so good in 10th and I was only supposed to get better, but moving states has really affected me.
For CSUs, you’ll be considered a nonresident so you would have had to be more competitive. Also you would be paying nonresident tuition.
