junior studying in UK has 2 questions

I'm a junior. And Wharton is my top choice.

I didnt do so well in my IGCSEs(sophomore year, equivalent to Gr.10), had lots Bs whereas other students in other schools achieved 11A* GCSEs(though not IGCSEs because it is harder). Will it affect my chances in a major way even if I get straigh A* in the last 2 years? In my defense, I just started studying in UK, had no idea GCSE/IGCSE is a 2-year course, my school only offered one year intensive IGCSE.

Note: IGCSE is international GCSE, which is harder than standard GCSEs.

Im actually a US permanent resident. When I graduate high school in 2014, I will have completed 3 years education in UK. Will I be put in the same file for application as the rest of US citizens or international students? I know that international students have a lower chance of getting in.

I got B’s, got deferred.

International students only have a lower chance of getting in if they’re asking for financial aid (except citizens of Canada, Mexico). However, since you’re an American citizen studying in UK, for the purpose of aid, you’ll be considered an American, but you’ll be compared with students in your region (by your regional admissions officer). It won’t decrease your chances.
