Hey everyone. I’m an incoming junior transfer and was recently assigned to a single in fisher. I’m now debating whether or not to move off campus, since I’m not sure how I feel about living in a freshman dorm. Any advice would be appreciated.

If I were you, I would look at financial ramifications of moving. Having a single is a pretty nice amenity, and if Penn is going to make you pay a whole gaggle of money to be able to terminate your lease, it’s not worth moving off campus. That said, moving off campus would probably be a good idea. Your situation will likely be less-than-ideal since your best bet is to look on Craig’s List in the “roommates wanted” listings around campus (40th-43rd Streets, and Baltimore, Pine, Delancey, Spruce, Locust, Walnut, Sansom and Chestnut on the 4000 to 4300 blocks is the prime off campus living area for undergrads).

Whatever you do, don’t make a hasty decision!
