Profile: I am an African American (Nigerian) male currently attending a top 30 public school in New Jersey. The school is known for being fairly rigorous; my current GPA would be worth a 3.1-3.4 at other schools in my county, if not the entire state. Therefore, my school has a very good reputation with colleges, which may work in my favor. My GPA, which has been acquired in all College Prep courses up till this point, is low because of some incredible turbulence in my family life accumulated in my sophomore year (which I would explain in my essays). The schools on my list are listed with the admit rates and average GPA of those from my high school in parentheses and the application plan that I will apply to.</p>
