Junior year: Am I doing it right?

So I just started my first day of Junior year today after getting a 4.0 gpa is sophomore year. I’m looking to major in history in California state school. I have a real interest in going to Cal Poly as I loved the school and area when I visited.

My question is whether my schedule is competitive for Cal Poly SLO? And if I should take Spanish III.

My schedule is: Honors Trig, English 11, AP US history, Honors Chemistry, Vet Sci (College prep elective), and Photo (art).

Right now I’ve signed up for AP Psych but I think I’m going to take it in my senior year. But I’m really wondering if I should take Spanish III. I really disliked Spanish in previous years and the class is known for its difficulty around the school. Of course I have friends in Spanish 4 AP this year so I’m not sure what that means. I’m looking into doing volunteer/research work at a local museum, which of course looks great for someone who is looking to major in history. I also occasionally teach lessons and give presentations for my old history teacher’s classes. Also I plan to do other community volunteer work. What are your opinions?
