Junior Year GPA for Columbia

Does Columbia require GPA for all three years from Freshman year to Junior year?
They look mostly at the Junior GPA right? What if I didn’t do as well freshman and sophomore year? would that really lower my chance?

With an admissions pool as competitive as Columbia’s, they opt to evaluate all grades. Given the already infinitesimal admit chances for everyone, your chances are diminished more unless you have something jaw-dropping remarkable.

If you maintain a 3.85 through your Jr year and even get a 4.0 your 1st semester Sr year, you’ll end up with a 3.7 culm GPA. Even at the prep school you attend, I think you’ll see that that level of achievement isn’t going to get very far with the extremely low admit rate schools.

However, given your background, I’m pretty sure you’ll end up at a very solid school and have a successful college career. But it’s not likely that the sort of school will have a -20% admit rate.
