HI there,
My freshman yr-
I took:
AP human Geography
pre ap bio
pre ap english
health (1 semester) required
communication application (1 semester) required
pre ap art 1
spanish 2 pre ap
pre ap geometry
Sophomore yr-
Pre ap Chem
AP euro history
pre ap algebra 2
AP World History
Pre ap Art 2
Pre ap English 2
Pre-Ap spanish 3
Next Year I’m planning to take
Ap computer science for sure.
Pre ap Physics (typical junior at my school will always take this course)
Pre ap Calculus
Should I take AB honors pre calculus or BC honors calculus?
Whats the difference between both of the math classes and which one is better based on your experiences?
We also have AP US History And AP english 3 or we can take a course called American Studies, which is a combination of AP US History and AP English 3. The nickname for American Studies at my school is amstud (if that rings a bell). Based on what I have heard Amstud is more like humanities or PACE (if any of you guys have taken that). I know people who are taking just AMSTUD or people that are taking AP US History and AP English 3 sperately. I have heard mixed reviews about AMSTUD, but I also have heard that AP ENGLISH 3 and AP US HISTORY both are very hard at my school. However, I am really good at history i can either max my ap history classes or have an a plus. For the last two years english honors has been easy for me, I have maxed English for past two years. Now should I take Amstud or take Ap us history and Ap English 3 seperately. I have never been able in Humanities or PACE at my school, but I have been recommended to join it from every teacher of mine every single year… If i do not take amstud, I am taking APUSH no matter what because the other option for history at my school is regulars history, which I will never take… If I do not take Amstud, should I take AP english 3 or pre ap english 3? MAIN CONCERN FOR JUNIOR YR IS ABOUT AMSTUD OR APUSH PLUS AP ENGLISH 3 ( I need rlly good advice here pls!)
Also should I continue Spanish to 4 AP? I have always maintained an A or higher in all of my years of Spanish. I am starting to not like the class as I used to, but, however, I like it as much as i do not like it… Spanish 3 pre ap at my school was very hard this year ( LIKE RLLY HARD WE HAVE TO WATCH THE SPANISH NEWS EVERY WEEKEND AND EVERYTHING…), but I have gotten used to challenge over time. My teacher says that Spanish 4 ap is going to be easy because we had her ( she also said that spanish 3 pre ap is probs the most difficult year of Spanish at my area. Should i continue Spanish or should I stop? Also i am an non native speaker. My teacher says this that we can get a 4 or 5 on the spanish 4 ap test by just taking her 3 Spanish honors class. i need very good advice in this area as well.
I am planning on quitting art because I have had enough of it.
Should I double block science???/ If i do double block science, I will have to quit Spanish because I can only have 7 classes in total and any AP science class at my school takes up two classes of space. If i do take another science course, I am planning to take AP BIO or AP environmental sciences based on my interests… Which one is better? I am very good at memorizqation and Pre ap Bio was good experience for me. I am not leaning toward AP CHEM because i have one of the worst pre ap chem teachers, causing my experience to be bad, at my school, but i still manage to make 90 plus grade.Plus overall I liked bio better than chem in my first two years of high school. SO WHAT SHOULD I DO FOR ANOTHER SCIENCE COURSE PLS HELP???/
OR should i double block math… I have heard only mixed reviews about Ap stats, and none of my friends are double blocking math. If i double block math, I willt take pre calc BC OR AB and AP STATS together. Is that a good idea or not?? Also my algebra 2 teacher this year was horrible, so I have had to try extra hard for that class…
My limit for AP classes for junior year is 4 or 5. No junior takes more than that unless they are very smart…
ALSO REMEMBER THAT I AM PLANNING TO TAKE PSAT AND SAT IN MY JUNIOR YEAR. AS A RESULT I NEED TIME TO PREPARE FOR THAT AS WELL…
Also how is debate??? MY school has one of the best debate programs, so if I do not take any double science or math I will probs lean toward debate plus it will look good for an extra curriculum activity.
I plan on majoring in sciences or math even though history is easy for me…
Srry for the long txt but I need very good advice I cannot screw up at all next year pls.
