<p>Is it actually the most important, or are all years equally important?</p>
<p>Also, is it okay to choose IB classes over AP classes if you are not in the diploma program, or would colleges rather see AP?</p>

<p>Yes, junior year, followed closely by senior year, is most important. Sophomore year is important as well, but not as much as the last 2 years, and freshman year is often not given as much weight as the other 3 (and in some cases, like Princeton, disregarded altogether). </p>
<p>I don’t know enough about the IB program to answer your question, sorry.</p>
