Junioritis, Class of 2012

MIT- lucky. how many kids go to your school?
EDIT: let her say that. continue to prove em wrong.

we have 9 APs. yup i’ll have taken 7 of them.

ghuskies- i hate that format too!
but umm… idk. i bought a princeton review book to self study. my teacher said b.c everyone talks all the time we’re so behind, and we won’t have time to go over everything. she said no one will get a 5. well, i’ll get a 4. (i’ll try my hardest.)

We have in excess of 3000. One of the largest in the state. One of the largest IB Programs in the state.

what state?

mine had 900 something. not quite 1,000. i remember freshman year our principal announced we had 999. never broke 1000 lol.

I have 20 kids in my IB class. lolz
and the new IB kids were just picked today, so another 20 and then our senior IB students are like 15 so 55 IB students out of a school that has about 200 kids in it.

14 classes in all i think.

your school is 1/5 of mine and you have more higher level classes available -_-
@black.

but, gonna go clean and ACT prep (less than a month left :() peace y’all.

Dang what a shame :frowning: stats seems to be a pretty doable exam! Idk how well I’m going to do considering it’s the test after the AP Lang exam though

Look at my area code CPU.

VA.

Middle Schoolers tomorrow… bleh.

MIT- i’m supposed to know everybody’s area code ? o_O

okay now im really leaving haha peace

^^Middle schoolers?

There’s too many idiots in my AP classes who take AP’s just for the quality point. Hate em’.

Volunteering again at the Largest Robotics Competition in the county. 48+ teams.

hello again! lol okay let me do some catching up . yes we do have to pay . and we have to pay for our uniforms… and our locks… and our gym uniform… and the school shoes… and when we have dress down days (when we get to wear our own clothes) we have to pay 5 bucks. and it doesnt even have all that many classes !!! pointless ! but its a lot better than the public schools are far as discipline and that what my parents liked.

people in my school ? 750.

I’ve missed a lot, too -___- Lol.

The city schools where I live have to pay 5 bucks if they want to wear their own clothes, too.

But my school has ~2001 people :)

Whoa paying to wear clothes seems crazy to me!

We have a huge school, over 2000 too.

Sent from my iPhone using CC

Fridays are dress down day for teachers. Sometimes clubs will claim a Friday and the teacher will have to pay, and the $ supports some cause or school event.

But Friday is unofficial spirit day. You’re supposed to wear something with the school’s logo. Like a team shirt or something. It’s tradition and you don’t have to pay

Ah, hello again. :3

I just came back from watching Red Riding Hood. It was…eh. ._. Kept me guessing though, so I guess that’s a good thing. I should’ve seen Limitless instead… /:

@ada: NICE. PRIVATE SCHOOL HIGH FIVE. XD high fives We have to pay for my school too, but we actually only pay about 1/4 of the tuition because of financial aid. I’m just crossing my fingers and hoping I get some sort of killer scholarship for college to make up the difference. You have to wear uniforms?? That sucks. ): And what the? They make you pay $5 to wear normal stuff? ugh. We have dress code and the occasional jeans days, but you can get away with dark jeans and other stuff if you’re a girl and sneakers if youre a guy. No one says anything.

@MIT (i think it was you): 3000?!? Holy crap! I can’t even imagine that many people in one school. ._. I went to public school for part of elementary school and junior high, but my age group was sort of on the smaller side, so 3000 is ALOT in my mind.

Math equation for BlackRose…lol…jk. math is my worst subject. X) ->

115 </= Graduating Class < 130

Also, our entire school is slightly less than 500. -_-;

I also have 4 AP classes and an honors language class, but our school is weird, so we have a cycle schedule that changes everyday. So I might have 4 free periods one day and no lunch on another. Also sometimes we have double periods which is especially useful for English class or Science labs. Yeah. We’re weird like that. /:

@Daxlo: alas, the thing you said about AP class attendance is true. Some people just take it so they have an “AP” under their belt, but they REALLY shouldn’t be in it. What bothers me the most though is when that sort of kid gets along great with the teacher because they just talk all the time, even when its not relevant. sighs

I think all the AP courses should just adopt the same policy as my school - if you’re taking an AP, you don’t have a final exam. You have a final project. It makes more sense. >__>

Good luck, everybody! (:

I take AP because I wanna be challenged, and get the extra points. But I hate the people who are in it who don’t belong. Ugh. And we don’t have enough classrooms to split the classes. Our school emphasizes on the students who have to take the really lower levels, because they’re trying to get them up higher. The higher level kids always get the short end. There are more lower level teachers than higher, most of the highers were switched to lowers. But it’s not like we need much in higher levels, just more teachers (which I guess is needing much) and a wider course selection option.

12:10 AM ok good night guys :)

Good night girl! :slight_smile:

Honestly I get really annoyed with the level of immaturity of a lot of the kids in non-AP/accelerated courses. Not everyone is of lower intelligence (not bashing) just saying many of them might come to class high and I just can’t sympathize if someone’s failing because of their own stupid decisions. AP classes generally bring the more mature and driven students together and it’s a good community. At least in my school.
We have the policy that if you take an AP exam there is no final too. Also we have AP incentive. If you have NO missing assignments and pass (3 or higher) the AP exam, your semester grades go up 1 letter grade. If you get a 5, it’s automatic A both semesters, no matter what the grade. But generally if you do all your homework to get an A or B in the class you’re on track to get a 3+. People don’t usually pull a passing grade out of nowhere…if they do, I guess they’re pure genius.

@CPU: Ditto.
We only have 1 AP class available for juniors lol. If we kicked out the people who shouldn’t be in it, we’d only have…6 people in the class ■■■■■. -____-

We need this.
It’s gonna be a pain in the ass taking a final exam.
…right after the damn AP test. Ugh.

My school does that AP thing. Only if you’re a senior–_- so I still have to take finals.

But if you’re in dual enrollment, the college makes you take the final anyway.

But for seniors, if you have an A average in the class (in senior year they stop counting grades for class rank and GPA at the end of 3rd marking period) then you’re exempt from the final. Unless you have dual enrollment -_-

So yeah I’ll have dual enrollment for 3 or 4 classes. I’m going to get an A in foreign policy honors no matter what lol I do not wanna take the final.
