Just another regular "Chance Me" Thread. But this time I actually need help

Hey guys. I’m looking to apply ED to Cornell’s CALS school’s AEM program. Here’re my stats.
Moved to a private boarding school in Wisconsin for my Junior year. Freshman and Sophomore classes were taken according to the British A Levels curriculum, and so I’m not going to post anything relating to them. Anyways, here goes…

GPA (Unweighted) - 3.95
My school doesn’t offer any AP classes, not because we don’t have a certain standard of academic rigor, but because it is too small a school. However, a lot of the classes are taught out of AP or college-level textbooks.

ACT - 32: 29,32,34,31 subscores. 10 in writing.

Not planning to take the SAT but I am taking subject tests in Bio E/M as well as Math Level 1. Hopefully 750+ on both.

Sadly since the boarding school is in a super remote area I haven’t been able to work any jobs or work with any big time competitions.

Here’s a detailed breakdown of my volunteer/ministry hours:

• Taking part in the Texas-Mexico border region mission trip and working with Proyecto Azteca.
• Ministry at Broken Bread, a program that involves students helping with carrying and distributing foods to the needy
• Angel Tree Ministry shopping and distributing Christmas gifts to children with parents in prison
• Ministry at the Villa Loretta retirement center
• Housing Rehab Ministry
• Helping out with the annual Hilltopper cross country invite
• Parking crew during Christmas Concert

I’m also co-captain of the forensics team, president of the international club, and vice-president of the business club. Adding to my business perspective, I’ve taken 5 semesters of general business, and 4 of both economics and accounting.

I’m think my essay is pretty awesome, at least when it comes to describing myself, not to boast or anything. My school-specific essay explains my involvement with academic economics and business, the business club, and my own venture I started while I was in 9th grade, made about two grand, and then decided to quit once I was leaving to the U.S.

Thanks a lot for your help. I’m also applying EA to Fordham, and RD to Rensselaer, Lehigh, and Emory.

Hi, I know this is probably too late…BUT I would just like to point out that you can’t EA for Fordham if you’re applying ED to cornell. I’m not sure if there is a special circumstance, but in general, EA means no ED.

Hey! Thanks for the advice. Although the Common App decision plan rules state that I can apply binding early decision to Cornell and still apply non-restrictive early action to another school. https://www.commonapp.org/CommonApp/Docs/DownloadForms/2012/2012DecisionPlanRules.pdf</a>
Maybe I misunderstood what they meant or Fordham’s EA is restrictive. But anyways, no opinion on my chances?
