I’m surprised by my 4 on Spanish. A smart kid in my class got a 2 and I did terribly on my college placement exam so I expected a 2/3 as well. I’m also surprised by my 5 on Calc BC.

Is anyone else surprised about any of their scores?

Is anyone else surprised about any of their scores?

No, my scores exactly matched my predictions. Doing a few practice tests (the score on the practice tests matched my actual score) made me even less surprised as I knew what to expect.

aldfig0, I think my biggest problem with Spanish was that I hadn’t taken a single practice test, so I had no idea what to expect. Also, in live in NY where school ends late, so we never have any teachers as AP graders. Therefore, they don’t exactly know how to grade essays and things like that.

Well seeing as the Physics C Mechanics Exam this year was essentially the most difficult exam I have ever taken (not just AP), and considering the fact that I literally left about half of the free response questions completely blank, I think it’s safe to say that I was pleasantly surprised by a 4.

Good thing the phone scores are automated because I yelled a few choice expletives into the receiver out of pure shock.

There was no way I got a 5 on APES, but I did.

5 in Music Theory. Uhh… what? I basically failed the entire MC section…

Definitely did not expect any of my scores for Physics C, English Lang, Chinese, and Human Geography. All “good” surprises besides the latter.

5 in US Govt., the only studying i did for the exam was 6 hours the day before and I had a crappy teacher, i was just hoping to pass the test. and i was surprised by a 4 in physics c: mech caz that test was killer hard.

I got a 5 on my English Language exam, yet I randomly bubbled in at least 7 on the multiple choice since I didn’t finish answering all of the questions and I pretty much BS’d the third essay, which I also failed to finish.

I also got a 4 on my Env. Science exam when I expected a 5. Oh well.

Expected and got 5s

Incredibly surprised by 4 in ap spanish. I thought I had bombed that thing…walked out crying from the room and when I saw the curve, cried some more. I was seriously expecting to fail…you can not believe my reaction when I saw the 4 haha.

@Desafinado: Nice! Just out of curiosity, what exams did you take?

I got a 5 on APES, when I was expecting a 2 or 3. In hindsight, my BS answers on the FRQs actually displayed a lot of knowledge and concern for the environment. Maybe that was all I needed? Everyone seemed to think that the MCs were ridiculously hard so the curve must have let you get a 4 or 5 as long as you performed well on the FRQs.

I kinda thought I would get a 5 on Lang but I got a 4, I was really surprised I got a 3 on bio instead of a 4.

Oh and I should have got a 5 on Lang but screwed up on two of the essays. I was drained from taking an AP test the day before.

But yeah my teacher told me straight up that there’s a 95% chance I’d get a 5 on the test because my performance on the practice MCs was stellar and my essays were solid.

I was shocked that I got a 5 on AP Chemistry; I was expecting a four at best, especially when I showed my teacher the free response posted on the CollegeBoard website and she responded that she “would have gotten that one wrong too” (to the free response equation involving coordination complexes).

I was surprised I got a 5 on the Chem exam because the first acid base stumped me, I got stubborn trying to solve it, couldn’t really do it, and moved on to do the other 2 FRQs in that section…with 15 minutes left. Yeah, I thought I got 2/3 of that section wrong.

Now I’m kinda paranoid that I heard my Chem score wrong because when I heard the “5”, I got so excited, cheered, and forgot to replay it. Sooo paranoid. >_>

Haven’t gotten my scores yet ! Think I failed I ran out of time and never finished the aphg test

@certainabsurdity

Just USH, Enviro, and Human Geography. I got an 800 on USH in June so I wasn’t worried afteri that. Enviro I crammed the night before but it was pretty lucky FRQs, same with Feography.

@TQSMNTASP oh man you just made my night. I’ve been worried about the mech exam ever since I saw the first FRQ. I honestly think I only did half of the frq too. I hope your luck carries over to me! I get my scores soon
