Just for fun - "What Kind of Book Reader Are You?"

I’ve read about 50 books on my Kindle but really really prefer to read fiction as a book book. Nonfiction on the Kindle is fine. No idea why the distinction.

Too many books and too little time, I so agree.

The All-the-Timer/Compulsive/Voracious/Anything Goes Reader perhaps combined with Book Buster as I will read them in the tub, in the pool, on the beach, and all sorts of messy places. I don’t want a kindle as if I drop it in the water it is dead, if I drop my 2nd had paperbacks in the water I can still read them. I have hundreds of paperbacks collected over the years, and yes, some have rubber bands around them, they are vacation reads.

I have a classic on my phone, an action story (Reacher) on my iPod, a paperback in my purse, a detective book in the den, another random book in the car and a foodie book on my nightstand. I will read anything any time, including the back of a cereal box or CC.

I don’t have an e-reader. I love to curl up, hold a book and feel a sense of excitement as the book draws closer to an end. I try not to read a particular genre twice in a row. I like to alternate the types of books. I will follow a particular author, but not read 2 of their books in succession. I am always on the lookout for library sales, thrift store bargains, etc. Recently discovered a thrift shop that has a huge assortment of book that are classified by genre, some new, some older, paperbacks are 35cents and hardcovers are $1.00. I like to have a stack of new books available and ready to read. I will also stay up till the “wee” hours to finish a book and sometimes get cranky if the family is waiting for dinner, (don’t they understand)?

Chronological reader.

A result of having studied comparative literature in college in a department that was infamous for having ridiculously ambitious reading lists. After graduation, I vowed I will NEVER EVER read more than one book at a time. And I haven’t.

Though because I’m a very fast reader, I still go through more than multi-taskers.
