Just Go With It (Fortune Cookie Advice)

I was riding my bicycle home from work a while ago when my chain snapped. I could have just cursed my way home for the remaining 2~ miles, but I decided to take a detour and see a part of the area I hadn’t covered before. Turns out there were 5~ tech start-up companies (design, manufacture, etc) hidden in an obscure business center/alcove near the area where my chain snapped. I dropped a few resumes, met some interesting people, and might have lined up my next job.

I could be reflecting on that messed up time I had to walk home from work, but because I went with the flow of things, I look back and see it as a positive moment wherein I might have secured my next job.

I know there’s a point in here somewhere. Oh yeah, when life gives you clouds, make lemonade. No wait, lemons have high silver content. No…

nvm

You carry hard-copy resumes with you while randomly riding your bike? …I’m not buying this story.

I keep them online. Printed them out there. Good catch though, lol.

Start-up companies?

I was wondering the same thing as far as resumes go, haha. Though now that I have discovered dropbox, it is easy as hell to get to my resume.
