just got accepted to washu woot woot

from emory university to biochemistry/music double major! sweeet

did you send in extra stuff?

i sent in everything late basically since i applied at the last minute actually…sent in a lot less than to my other schools

what did you send?

what do you mean i just sent my app and my music stuff…i wasn’t waitlisted or anything i just applied really late as a transfer

Chemwhiz, just out of curiosity why did you transfer from Emory to WashU?

i don’t know if i’m transferring there, i’ve just been accepted from there so far…i applied really last minute because i really wanted to get out of emory

i was waitlisted last year, and from someone who has been at both places (my father was washu for his internship in medicine and emory for his residency in cardiology) he said i’d probably enjoy washu more because it was more northeastern

it however is definitely not my top choice because i didn’t really want to travel to school which was one of my main points for transferring. we’ll see what happens i applied on the last day and basically sent in half the stuff late because the administration at emory is completely irresponsible and irritating-it took about 4 weeks longer than necessary to get the dean to write me a report of good standing.

not that i’m ungrateful for getting in…i just feel like it would be a better experience than emory just as a city in general, and more to my liking with the availability of a biochemistry concentration with more related courses. i love organic chemistry and emory is limited in that.

washu is a great school and i am excited to visit

Awesome! Well congrats and good luck with your decision!
