<p>I just realized that I called a top-30 school’s quarter system the “trimester system” at least twice in an essay I submitted last week.</p>
<p>Is this as bad as I think it is? Is there anything I can do at this point?</p>
<p>Any thoughts? Does writing an email show I care, or does it draw more attention to it?</p>
<p>I really can’t imagine it being a dealbreaker. I’d hope they spend more time looking at GPA, SAT scores, EC’s, and quality of essays rather than looking for one word that you messed up.</p>
<p>It’s a reasonable mistake, given that, unless you stay for summer classes, a quarter system is essentially a trimester system.</p>
