<p>My son received $200 for a competition he won, which I didn’t even think about when filling out the FAFSA. He just received a 1099 for this in the mail. He didn’t work last year, so this would be his only income. Should I correct the FAFSA for this?</p>
<p>Never mind. Now that I had a chance to get out the panic mode of “OMG, I screwed up the FAFSA”, I realized that the net result would be $0 income a we paid $200 for the competition itself. I just wanted to be able to use the retrieval tool on Sunday and be finished with this process! :)</p>
