Just retook ACT, should I go ahead and submit apps?

My highest ACT is 28. I retook it last saturday, and I feel I did MUCH better. I'm feeling 31-33, maybe. Everyone else is already applying to colleges (I'm a senior in HS), and one girl in my class has already been accepted to UAB. Should I start filling out and submitting applications, even though my higher scores won't come in for several weeks? I don't want to apply to the schools with a score of 28, when I know that my scores will be higher in a few weeks. What should I do?

Due dates are still a ways off (Dec 31 or even later). If you can knock out some simple ones, why not get them ready? Just submit when you're sure you're ready.

But your indecisiveness tells me you don't have an overall picture of which schools and scholarship apps are due and in what order. Perhaps you should spend this weekend working up a timeline for yourself, adding schools and their deadlines as you find more you wish to apply to.

Well, most of them look to be Dec. 1, and I don't want to wait until the last minute and miss out due to my late submission. My teacher recommended I apply to the schools now, and wait until I get my scores to apply for scholarships. For the school-sponsored academic-based scholarships, they're the same application, aren't they? And thanks for your time taken to reply, I'm kind of lost in all of this application stuff. It's getting hectic.

Don't worry unless the scholarship deadline is soon (which they shouldn't be until november for most) because you'll get your scores in 3 weeks (online) I believe
