Just Saw FA Package and COA For Next Year

Amazing. For OOS students COA appeared to have climbed 15% for next year at James Madison! At least that is how I read it, and I think I am looking at the numbers correctly. I thought it was bad, when I read that Rutgers was going to have an increase for OOS of 10%!

Ohio is proposing to hold COA steady for the next two years.

The College of Charleston raised out of state tuition by 11.5% yesterday and in-state tuition by 7.5%. Nice of them to wait until after May 1 to do so.

To what extent is FA compensating for rise in costs?

Subsidized loans…that is it. We were gapped.

the trend is to stick it to oss. Doesn’t get the bad press. Don’t they know the more the do that the more they jeopardize the geographic diversity of their schools? They get one type of people, one set of values adn one set of beliefs…no diversity in thought.

Well, you are right, Atlmom. That is why my son did not apply to some other OOS publics (COA was way too rich for our family to handle).
