Just scored a 1940 on the SAT....need advice

So I just received my january sat scores and am fairly dissapointed. I scored a 1940 (CR 620 M 680 W 620) and was aiming for a atleast a 2000. I managed a 2200 on my last practice test so im not sure how I got that score. Anyways, i am currently a junior and cannot retake the old sat. The schools I plan on applying to are George Mason University as a safety, and my level/reach schools are George Washington, Virginia Tech, Georgetown and maybe University of Virginia. My GPA is around a 4.0 weighted but my extracurriculars are fairly weak as im only apart of National Honors Society and few other clubs/honors societies. I have taken several APs as well. Im not sure if i should take the new SAT. Is my 1940 + my stats okay for atleast GW and Vtech? I know for Georgetown and UVA it is a reach but please let me know. I really dont want to take the SAT again. Thanks

Also, i know GW doesnt require SAT and my 1940 is slightly below/at their average. Should i still send it in?

You should retake the SAT and take the ACT.

youre a junior, take it again you have plenty of time

Focus on Math and CR. Writing section, college won’t look at it.

Take the new SAT or ACT. You and I are in the same situation- we both have plenty of time to retake tests. Did you send in your last test scores for the free score reports?

Definitely take the new SAT. You may be pleasantly surprised and do better on it. Try the ACT as well. Don’t settle for your first score if you’re a junior - that’s silly.
