Just wondering... Go to home vs. Go home

Which of the following is syntactically correct?

Go home
Go to home

If they are both grammatically correct, what is the difference in meaning? Or do they express the same idea if both of them were correct?

Thanks

I have never heard “go to home.” I believe that only go home is correct.

Here are some correct phrases:

I go to school.
I go to my home.
I go home.

I don’t exactly know how to explain it, but I am sure someone else can.

I think its an idiom or something. We just say it that way. It acts like an adjective in that instance.

Just my take but I have nothing to prove it.
