<p>I have a few questions:

  1. Does anyone know how many applicants rice recieved this year (and particularly from the northeast)?
  2. Are mid-year reports a heavy factor in the decision for rd applicants b/c i did poorly on 2 of my midterm exams (and in my defence the class average for both were really low. There were 70% D’s and F’s, 25% C’s, and 5% A’s and B’s, so you can see how hard they were). My marking period grades were pretty good though! Agggh, I really like Rice, and I dont want these 2 midterm grades to screw me over (I got 1 D and 1 C)</p>

<li>I believe there’s a long thread about the importance of mid-year reports. I say they’re definitely an aspect of the admissions process, but the adcomms take a lot of other components into consideration as well.</li>
