Kander and Ebb

Can someone point me in the right direction to Kander and Ebb shows that have upbeat songs for baritones? I have an audition for Cabaret and they prefer something from Kander and Ebb but I am so lost.
Thanks.

Are you auditioning for a specific role? Most of the upbeat things I can think of are tenor – most of their baritone songs I love aren’t upbeat… (I’m guessing you mean uptempo, as opposed to positive songs) There’s Razzle Dazzle and All I Care About from Chicago - both of which I would think may be overdone. Possibly the title song from The Happy Time.

Not so uptempo, but I love Why Can’t I Speak and the Butterfly from Zorba, and Sometimes A Day Goes By from Woman of the Year.

Sorry yes I meant uptempo. I was thinking of going for the older man (the name escapes me).

“Life of the party” from The Happy Time

“Second Chance” from Steel Pier - great song

Also check out Kiss of the spiderwoman…

Herr Schultz is the older character who owns the fruit shop.
