Keep It or Leave It????

Last summer I got into a 4 week Arabic summer camp paid for completely by the Dept of State. I was supposed to earn college credit for it and continue to take classes once an month during the school year. However, after 2 weeks I got really sick. I was throwing up constantly for 3 days and had to leave. Thus, I didn’t get college credit for it, nor did I continue it during the school year. I did, however, put in 2 weeks of HARD work. Should I put it on my college application as “2 weeks of a summer arabic program” even though I didn’t complete the full four weeks? Or is that dishonest and should I leave it off?

I definitely don’t see that as dishonest… you did go to an Arabic summer program for two weeks. Whether it’s worthwhile to include would probably depend on whether it backs up your other interests or if it’s just some trivial activity which doesn’t fit in. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Put it just like you said: “2 weeks of an Arabic Summer Camp”. If you’re really concerned, you can say that you attended two of the four weeks but left for medical reasons.
