meadow36 you might have a different view of Roth if you listen to his new song G.R.I.N.D. It’s so good, youtube it.

Asher Roth is the shiznit.

I said when I go to college, on the drive or flight there I’m blasting I love College.

but… J.Cole is my man right now. Guy thrice burns Drake’s career.

Eh, you misinterpreted my post. I’m not bashing all stoners. A lot of them can actually be quit be quite intellectual, and you can have legit discussions with them and stuff, that some other good students aren’t capable.

My comment was more in the context of the song. They lyrics just plain suck, and the way they portray “stoners” (term used in the song) just seems lame. No offense, the song just doesn’t do it for me.

AHAHHAHHA. Thanks for the good laugh.

Did you actually listen to it? Apparently not.

Drake > Kid Cudi

Better flow, better singing, better looks k

After looking at the posts favoring Kid Cudi: HAVE YOU GUYS NOT HEARD “FIND YOUR LOVE?!” holy****

^ Monotonic flow, synthesized singing that is average at best.

Find Your Love was heavily synthesized and fake. I didn’t like it.

^^^ Hmm. I just listened to it, again. I guess my first time was kind of superficial, but you’re right. I especially like the wordplay(?) with the G.R.I.N.D. and grind. It definitely speaks a sort bittersweet, yet optimistic universal truth about life. Not bad at all.

kid cudi all the way, but no one has mentioned any of the good, actually legit rappers yet but i guess this is high school life. not that kid cudi isnt, but he is not on the same level as these guys yet (in no particular order): wu-tang clan, jay-z, nas. tupac, notorious b.i.g ,some of the pharcyde, a tribe called quest, eminem, de la soul, talib kweli, krs-one, and just look at this [MTV.com: The Greatest MCs Of All Time](http://www.mtv.com/bands/h/hip_hop_week/2006/emcees/index11.jhtml). (one of the few things mtv did well)
some newer rappers that are good are curren$y, kid cudi, charles hamilton, and some others i am forgetting, but not lil wayne. he has decent one liners, but no entire songs that all goes together well. theres just never any real theme or anything
on the topic of stoners though, i really like stoners, especially since i kinda am one. but theres a difference between stoners and kids who smoke a lot of weed. now that i am at college, most of the people here are smart, so the stoners here are smart usually, and they are all such interesting people. mostly just nice, chill guys that you can have a good conversation with.

I thought it was implied that that list was untouchable by these guys.

I would add Kanye to that list for sure. He’s right on their level. Probably just below jay-z and tupac, maybe equal to (imo) but different from em, but better than talib kewli and most of those others.

Kill
