Kienan Hebert returned .

I sure didn’t expect this to end well.
Thank goodness I was wrong.

[Abducted Canadian boy returned home safe - seattlepi.com](http://www.seattlepi.com/news/article/Abducted-Canadian-boy-returned-home-safe-2165559.php)

I saw the wonderful news this morning, EK. I, too, was surprised that there was a happy ending. That isn’t usually the case.

I know, this news this morning was so wonderful.

It’s all so odd…the guy could break in to the home of such a large family, and take a child in the middle of the night and then also drop him off again just like that.

I think what the parents did the other day- on the news telling the abductor that Kienan didn’t speak and so he could never identify him so to just drop him off in a safe place and put it all behind him- was what did the trick.

There was a story yesterday in this area about a teenage boy who was kidnapped by his father 12 years ago when he was 5 and taken abroad, and who just reunited with his mother after finding her on Facebook. They had had no contact at all, direct or indirect, since the boy was taken.

starbright, I agree that there are odd components to this story, not the least of which is how the alleged abductor was able to return Kienan to his home without being seen.
