In Colorado you can get a library card for any library in the state once you have the card from the county you live in. You can also return a book from any library to any library, so if you borrow a book when on vacation in Vail you can return it in Denver (but just get an ebook!)
You can also drop your ballot (we vote by mail) in any box in the state and the Clerks will get it to the right county. Modern life.
I’ve also learned that the library has museum tickets for certain museums that are free. They are hard to get and you must be online 30 days out but who doesn’t want to see the Molly Brown house for free or the train museum?
