There are only a few classes that fit my potential schedule. One of them is running and the other one is hockey. A spot finally opened up in hockey today and I took it.

I only have two concerns:

Where is the ice skating rink? Is it on campus or somewhere far off campus? This is one thing I’ve never seen on campus.

Do regular kids take hockey because I can’t ice skate at all.

Looking back aerobic walk also would, but I don’t think I could motivate myself to speed walk all around campus.

The rink is off campus, and it’s on Holleman Drive. It’s called Arctic Wolf.

There is a bus that will take you there…but I’m not sure what the number is. It is quite far from campus.

And I’m not sure if the hockey class will take you in regardless of your skating abilities.

As for aerobic walking, I’d strongly advise you not take it. Many of my friends were in that class, and they were given near-impossible tasks for their exam. (i.e, 2 miles in 25 mins). You can always take KINE 198 another semester if you don’t get the sport you want.

Aerobic walking is not difficult at all, especially if you are a tall male. While you may not be able to accomplish the 2 miles in under 25 minutes exam, it’s graded to where you can get no lower than a 60% on it. While this is not an ideal grade, the walking exam is worth only 15% of your final grade (e.g. the worst you could do is lose 6% of your final grade on it). The rest of the class is pretty easy. My fiance took it, and I’ll be taking it this semester (and yes looking goofy power-walking around campus).

As far as taking ice hockey without prior experience with ice skating, I’m not sure if I’d advise you to do so. I have friends who took it as a 199, and while it was easy for them, they definitely knew how to skate. If you are a fast athletic learner, go for it.

Yeah after frequently checking howdy I was able to switch into a running class, although it’s still not in my ideal time slot.

One of my meeting spots is KYLE N178. I was originally thinking that this could be a section in the stadium on the north end of kyle field but it doesn’t appear that way. Are there places to meet in the zone or is it maybe talking about over in Bright?

I’m a little unsure of where that is as well, as my KINE class location is exactly the same. My best guess it’s up the escalators in the North End Zone of Kyle Field (KYLE N###), as I know there are some rooms there. I’d just shoot to show up early, and ask employees in the End Zone Club where it’s located. Or try emailing your professor.
