<p>Thinking of finally replacing our old bedroom furniture. We have a king bed (H insists on it) and there’s not much space in our bedroom. Would like to get a king storage bed to maximize storage space (perhaps skip the chest). Any suggestions? Any pros/cons? Saw a set in the Costco flyer that looked interesting (especially nice since delivery includes setup/cleanup!).</p>
<p>When we were living in a small rental before my move West, I bought my son a queen-sized platform bed from Pottery Barn that comes with either drawers or baskets. I especially like that it disassembles into modules for moving, which makes it easy to get into tight spaces and through doors. I think it also comes in king-sized.</p>

<p>If you have to give up the box spring in order to get the storage, I would be concerned about the comfort of sleeping on a mattress only. We just stayed in a hotel that replaced their box springs with a wood platform. They placed a queen mattress on top of the platform. I have a bad back, but I normally do fine with hotel beds. I was miserable sleeping on this arrangement.</p>
