Knitting

I am an avid knitter in high school and I was wondering if this hobby is worth mentioning on a college application through knitting clubs or in other way.

it depends.
what do you knit?
do you make cute hats and stuff
if so, it’s definitely worth mentioning. :p

but if you’re not actually trolling, the answer is no, don’t bother lol

yes: I actually design many knitting patterns and I’m close to getting one published in an online magazine. just wanted to know if it sends the right message of “well-rounded” and not random or anything since I plan on majoring in architecture.

Hey, anything that makes you stand out really. Maybe it won’t be the biggest factor, but it definitely won’t hurt if you are already solid and maybe you’ll leave even the faintest impression on a reader’s mind.

It’s definitely worth mentioning if you spend a lot of time with it. If you take your interest to the next level–say, start a club or make some charitable event from it (if you made a bunch of scarves to donate or taught people for free)–then that would really help your application.

Thanks! I will try to start a club at my school and donate to Warm Up America.
