Due to the lack of access to local University in my home country, I’m hoping to do my undergraduate in EE in the US. I consider myself very good student i.e maybe top 5% in the country, but my TOEFL score is low (since English is not our first language).

I’m considering these Universities because their TOEFL requirements are lower. Since I’ll be paying Foreign fees, cost is also a concern. Basically, I’m looking for the best University my limited money can buy.

Anyone out there has any comment on the undergraduate EE program in these Universities:

I would go to a community college for undergrad since money and language is an issue. I would then learn the langauge and save money to be able to transfer into a school with a better program which may cost more.

I’m origionally from Fresno, I know nothing about their EE… thus it must be rather drab. Freson State is an Agriculture school.

One of the EE profs from CSU Fullerton teaches summer school at my university, I was pretty damn impressed by how well he taught in comparison to our profs (damn you UC system). There’s a strong emphasis on teaching by with examples rather than teaching theory.

My TOEFL iBT score is 62. I’m re-taking it in Oct, but it will be cutting too close for most U’s Spring 2008 dateline. Iowa State require 70 for TOEFL.
