I bought a couple of sweaters at Kohl’s in September that I realized tonight I have never worn and am unlikely to wear anytime soon.

I do still have the receipt, and while the receipt does describe some aspects of the return policy, it does not say anything about a time limit.

Does anyone know whether their policy is to take things back indefinitely, or is there a time limit that just is not specified on the receipt?

There’s no set time limit for returns at Kohls. You certainly shouldn’t have a problem with items purchased as recently as September, especially since you have the receipt. I don’t think they’ll even hesitate to take back the sweaters. I’ve always been impressed by their customer service.

Their recent ads have been touting their generous return policy. I hope you still have the tags on the items to make it easy. There should be no problem at all. btw- you can take a receipt in within two weeks of purchasing an item to get a current lower price- after that time you would need to take the item in and return/repurchase it at the sale price (unused then, of course). Any “Kohl’s cash” gets returned if your return means your total spent during a sale event no longer meets the required purchase amount. Computers keep track of those things now.

If you used your Kohl’s card then the return policy is painless. They can find your transaction easily if they have the item numbers which are usually on the garment or item. If you used a different means to pay then you will get a gift card or exchange for the most recent sale price. No cash back.

I can’t imagine you will have any trouble. DD returned some Kohls earrings after a YEAR and they just did a search, found the price she paid, and poof…refund.

Without a receipt, even if you have used a regular credit card (not Kohl’s), they can look it up and issue credit to the card. Otherwise, you are issued store credit w/o a receipt.
