ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Four members of the Navy rifle team competed at the USA Shooting 3X Air Match held last weekend at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo. Josh Albright, Alex Karacsonyi, Sarah Bergman and Lisa Kunzelman all participated in the event, which helped determine the teams for the 2007 Pan-Am Games. In addition, Kunzelman competed at the Grand Prix Kooperativa in Pilzen, Czech Republic, over Thanksgiving, winning gold with a 394, giving Kunzelman her first title in international competition.

“Lisa has already accomplished a lot and then to go over to the Czech Republic and win gold in an important international event, is quite an accomplishment,” said Navy head coach Bill Kelley. “This is a huge achievement for Lisa and our entire program. The level of competition she faces in practice from everyone on the team has prepared her well.”
