Anyone have an opinion on this course (difficulty being an upper div, interest)?

I would like to hear anyone’s opinion on this as well.

bump up…

alright so after having taken this class i’ll just answer my own question for those interested in the future. This course is very difficult. There are a great deal of foreign terms to remember and you really have to be interested in Buddhism to learn it. If you dont have complete interest, I don’t suggest you take this class. It’s demanding in terms of reading (difficult of the read and amount of pages). Sharf’s class flow more like a jarbled discussion rather than a structured lecture. He writes minimally and does most of the lecture verbally, so you better have excellent note taking skills. He and the GSIs are very passionate about the subject and love to help. Like I said, unless you’re absolutely sure of your interest in Buddhism dont take it or have a recorder in your brain, don’t take it. Oh and this class has nothing to do with Buddhist meditation as the title says. Its more like the complete introduction to buddhims. you learn almost nothing about how to meditate.
