The TAG application specifically asked me to add my non-transferable courses manually. However, it seems to me that even though it’s not adding them to the assist-certified course list, it’s still counting them as UC-transferable overall. Is this normal or am I doing something wrong?

Philo. 6 (Logic in Practice) is listed as counting towards humanities in the TAG application, but when I actually look at assist, I don’t see Philo. 6 under any section of the humanities approved courses for the agreement between my college and UCSD, and I haven’t seen under any other agreement either when I tweak the colleges a little bit. =/

I reallllllly want to go to UCSD, but even more than wanting to go to UCSD, I want to be a Biology major (Pref. specializing in Neurophysiology). I will have the IGETC completed in time and my GPA is above 3.6 at the beginning of this Fall semester, but I honestly do not even come close to having all the lower division major specific prereqs done (I will have Chem 101, 102, Sats 1, and Bio 6 done by transfer, that’s it…lol). I know in a regular application to UCSD, you can be accepted to the college but not to the major. This is where I’m really confused. Is the TAG application the same way? Should I just choose Biology: Neuro…etc. and let them reject me to the major for now? Or should I choose undeclared and let them know why on additional comments page? Basically, what are my best chances at getting the TAG through without forcing me to choose another major?

P.S. If any of this sounds n00b, sorry. The counselors at my CC don’t really help at all. =/
