I want to go to SJSU for entrepreneurship and have a 3.1 GPA and 26 ACT. I’ve taken Chemistry and Biology already and am now a senior. Right now I’m in Anatomy and physiology which is a “lab” science. I know SJSU says they only require 2 years and the 3rd is recommended buy I’m already having troubles in that class. I’m wondering if I hear it out and suffer with a bad grade or switch to a non lab science such as earth and space or even work experience because I have a job. Just confused thanks for any help!
You need 1 year lab science and 1 year physical science. Biology and Chemistry have met that minimum requirement.

Any point taking a 3rd even if I suffer a bit from a lower grade. My counselor is telling me to take a 3rd even if it gets me a lower grade but I wasn’t too sure.
Taking a 3rd science class will depend upon the other schools besides SJSU you are planning to apply. Any UC, 3 years are recommended and competitive CSU’s would like to see you challenge yourself, so a 3rd year would be preferable.
Your GPA is a on the low side for SJSU and if you feel that taking Anatomy/Physio could jeopardize your Senior GPA, then I would withdraw. Any other science classes that you feel you could perform better in?
I calculated your eligilbity index for the CSU’s based on your posted stats which is 880 which puts you comfortably above this years EI threshold of 805 for your major at SJSU, but no guarantee that this threshold would be the same for next year’s class.

I was thinking of taking Earth and Space science. Though not considered a lab science it is still a science class. All my considered colleges are CSU’s.
If you think you can do better in the Earth and Space science course, go for it.
As long as you’ve completed the required courses, your Sr course selection has no bearing on your selection to SJSU. Take the class you want to take.
